Rainbow Whisk

Helen ’27 was inspired by the black dustpan broom design by Destiny ’26 as well as a plaited broom made by Alex ’26. Being a queer student, Helen was guided by Berea’s third great commitment to impartial love. The eye-catching rainbow colors nod toward the most recognized pride flag for the LGBTQIA+ community. With each part of the design being influenced by different students, the sense of interwoven ideas exemplifies the core value of LGBTQIA+ pride: community.
