Honeycomb Coasters, Set of 6

The honeycomb pattern has been hand-woven by our student weavers for over 60 years. Naturally dyed using Osage heartwood or Walnut hulls collected from Berea College’s Forest. This limited production run was a truly collaborative effort between the Forestry department, which collects the Osage; Woodcraft, which processes the logs; Weaving, which produces the cloth; and Broomcraft, which dyes the finished product. The Student Craft program has re-introduced the natural dye process to celebrate our history while exploring ways to cultivate some of our raw material closer to home. This set of coasters comes with 6 handcrafted pieces.
