Continuing the work of students Rachel Bates ’20 and Zoe Cowley ’20, student Katie Bister ’23 explored Windsor-style design combining it with Rachel and Zoe’s conceptual celebration of difference to examine the engineering challenges in designing stools and rocking chairs for student production. It was important to Katie that these were active chairs: a stool that was lightweight and easy to use and move around smaller spaces and a rocking chair free of arms that allows freedom and movement for knitting, playing guitar or any other seated activity.   Available in 12 colorways, this collection challenges us to see the beauty and strength that diversity makes possible.
