Opened in 2019, the Woodworking School at Pine Croft is located in the Berea College Forest just three miles from campus. Instructors share skills in intensive workshops that range from the traditional to the modern. Now including classes on broom making, quilting, and basketry, Pine Croft supports the creativity and craft education of students from outside Berea College.

Classes are taught by Student Craft staff and visiting instructors, and are overseen by Director Rob Spiece and Manager Katie Bister ’23, who expand access to craft education and share the core values of Berea College with the national craft community.
