An interdepartmental design and making collaboration between students of the Broom and Wood studios. This dustpan and hand broom set exemplify the beauty of clean and purposeful design and draw design inspiration from our Community Basket and traditional shaker box-making traditions. Field-to-fiber design: using regional plants to naturally dye fiber in-house.

The whisk is hand-built with a mix of Osage Orange and Walnut Broomcorn with all the dye materials gathered in the Berea College forest. The dustpan is steam-bent and hand-shaped, allowing the whisk to nest perfectly inside the pan for display or storage.
