Description

An interdepartmental collaboration between Woodcraft and the Broom Studio. Field-to-fiber design: The whisk is hand-built with a mix of Osage Orange, Walnut & Natural Broomcorn with all the dye materials gathered in the Berea College forest and dyed in-house. The rooster-tail whisk broom is a complicated design, requiring precise sizing and shaping to properly hold the dustpan in place. The dustpan is steam-bent and hand-shaped, allowing the whisk to nest perfectly inside the pan. When stored together, the dustpan and broom visually complete a circle.
