Heirloom Collection

Students created stamps representing traditional quilt patterns and heirloom varieties of regional fruits and vegetables, which adorn each piece in the collection. Students learn slab-building techniques, and the construction of each piece relies on the use of student-made press molds.

To complete the process, students mix two distinct glazes using formulas that allowed the glaze to highlight the stamps as opposed to covering them. Each piece is handmade, so the size may vary slightly.
